Ultimate Automotive Service Center has built a strong reputation for customer service and gets involved in the community. Here are the people behind it, from the owner to the service desk, with a few plain facts about each.
The Jimmersons
Owner and manager
Melvis Jimmerson
- Born in Grand River, Iowa
- Has always worked in the automotive industry
- Moved to the Des Moines area in 1970
- Opened Ultimate Automotive Service Center in 1987
Mark Jimmerson
- Born in the Des Moines area
- Started working at the shop at the age of 14
- Manages the shop today and writes the blog

The senior technicians
The number beside each name is the shop’s own record: the year Ryan started at the shop, and the years of experience Erick and Kris bring to the lift.
Ryan Roth
Born in Southern Iowa and off to U.T.I. right out of high school. He moved to the Des Moines area and has worked at the shop since 2008.
Erick Lutchman
A graduate of DMCC Auto Mechanics with more than 17 years of experience as an auto technician. ASE certified.
Kris Palmer
More than 15 years of auto mechanic experience.
Dana Murphy
Senior service technician in the bays on Oakwood Drive.
